Dibutyltin maleate can be used as a catalyst for esterification and transesterification reactions, a catalyst for silane-modified polymers, a PVC stabilizer; used as a heat stabilizer for ABS/PVC alloys; used as a heat stabilizer for flame-retardant ABS, especially when using halogen flame retardants like hexabromocyclododecane; used in flame-retardant ABS/PTFE blends; used as a coupling agent for glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic ABS to improve its impact strength; used as a dispersant for TiO2 in ABS.
